周硕基，1982年出生在江苏盐城，2000年，就读于成都电子科技大学应用数学专业。在这所坐落于天府之国的985院校中，周硕基并不像很多学霸那样埋头苦读，反而更注重经营人脉。

回忆大学时光，他坦言：“我觉得，交朋友、友情，是大学里最重要的事，而上课学的那些东西，我现在都忘掉了。”2004年，周硕基大学毕业。他先来到北京，担任IBM的IT销售人员，后又跳槽甲骨文公司，做了3年咨询顾问。
