自去年9月末币圈清退潮过后，又一个项目宣布清退大陆用户。
Another project announced the withdrawal of continental users since the closing of the currency circle at the end of September last year.
5月27日凌晨，币圈热门“跑鞋”项目STEPN通过其官方社交平台发布了《关于清查中国大陆账户的公告》（下称《公告》）。《公告》显示，为积极主动响应相关监管政策，对App用户进行清查，若发现中国大陆地区用户，将依据使用条款对其账户于2022年7月15日24:00停止提供GPS及IP位置服务。
In the early hours of 27 May, STEPN, through its official social platform, issued the Bulletin on the Inventory of Continental Accounts in China (hereinafter referred to as the Proclamation), which states that, in order to respond proactively to the relevant regulatory policy, App users will be surveyed and that users in mainland China will cease to provide GPS and IP location services to their accounts on 15 July 2022, at 2400 hours, in accordance with the terms of their use.
对于清退中国大陆用户的原因，STEPN在公告中解释是“为积极主动响应相关监管政策”。此外，STEPN还表示，鼓励中国大陆用户自行决策处理应用内的资产，并强调平台从未在中国大陆开展过业务也并未提供下载通道。
In addition, STEPN stated that users in mainland China were encouraged to make their own decisions about assets in applications and stressed that the platform had never operated in mainland China and did not provide download access.
公告发布当日，STEPN项目代币GMT和GST双双下跌，触及历史最低价。而在此之前，GMT已经经历了一波“跳水式”下跌。数据显示，自4月29日开始GMT便一路走低，由4.1788美元跌至0.8010美元。GST则是在4月29日触及历史最高价9.45美元后出现下跌，单日振幅超过50%。截至6月1日记者发稿， GMT报1.15美元，日内跌幅为8.77%；GST报1.13美元，日内跌幅为20.20%。5月以来，GMT累计跌幅为69.19%，GST跌幅为79.35%。
On the day the announcement was issued, the STEPN project had a double drop in the tokens of GMT and GST, touching the lowest price in history. Prior to that date, the GMT had experienced a wave of “drawling-out” decline. The data showed that since 29 April, the GMT had fallen from $4.1788 to 0.8010. The GST had fallen since 29 April, after reaching its historical peak of $9.45, with a single day amplification of more than 50 per cent. As of 1 June, journalists had published a report of $1.15, with an internal decline of 8.77 per cent; and GMT of $1.13, with an intra-day decline of 20.20 per cent. Since May, the cumulative GMT decline had been 69.19 per cent and a GMT decline of 79.35 per cent.

记者了解到，STEPN是2022年初最火热的币圈项目之一，号称“行走印钞机”，主打“边跑边赚（Move to Earn）”的概念。要想参与游戏，玩家首先需要购买至少一款STEPN推出的NFT运动鞋，通过在现实世界中户外步行或跑步赚取代币从而获得收入。
Journalists learned that STEPN was one of the hottest currency rings in early 2022, known as the Walking Banker, and played the concept of "Move to Earth." To be a part of the game, players needed to buy at least one of the NFT sports shoes launched by STEPN, and to earn money by walking or running outside the real world.
STEPN项目采用双币机制运行，分别是游戏代币GST和治理代币GMT。其中，GST主要用于在游戏中购买运动鞋或修理、升级跑鞋，无限量向用户供应；GMT则主要用于交易买卖、游戏内抵押等，总供应量是60亿枚。
The STEPN project operates using a two-currency mechanism, the game token GST and the governance token GMT.
“边跑边赚”的玩法，让STEPN的用户数量迅速增长。有数据显示，今年3月到4月仅一个月的期间，其日活用户便从3万增长至40万，注册用户突破100万。另有公开报道显示，2022年1月，STEPN完成了红杉资本印度和Folius Ventures领投的500万美元种子轮融资；3个月后，StepN获得Binance Labs的战略投资，估值达到了10亿美元。
According to data, the number of STEPN users grew rapidly, from 30,000 to 400,000 per month between March and April of this year, with registered users breaking by 1 million. There are also public reports that in January 2022, STEPN completed $5 million in seed rotation financing for Redwood capital India and the Folius Ventures; three months later, StepN received a strategic investment in Binance Labs, valued at $1 billion.
一位区块链从业者向本报记者表示，边玩边赚的模式虽然可以利用“赚钱”吸引用户，但缺陷也十分明显，就是需要源源不断的新用户才能维持正常运作，一旦新用户减少，后来的用户就会沦为“韭菜”。
A block chain operator told reporters that while the "profit" model could be used to attract users, it was also evident that there was a need for a steady flow of new users to maintain their normal functioning and that, once new users were reduced, later users would become “celebrities”.
因为相似的“运动赚钱”的概念，STEPN创始之初，曾有人们把它同“趣步”相比较。2018年成立的趣步宣称“每天走够4000步，每月就至少能赚200元”。但是实际上，为了增加奖励，用户需要通过“传销式”的拉人、推广等方式吸引新用户进入而获得分红。2019年，趣步因涉嫌传销、非法集资、金融诈骗被立案侦查。
Because of the similar concept of “motion making money”, STEPN was founded at the beginning of a comparison with “happy moves.” The fun steps that were set up in 2018 declared that “there are 4,000 steps a day, making at least $200 a month.” In practice, however, in order to increase incentives, users need to gain a bonus by attracting new users through “publishing” and promoting them. In 2019, fun steps were investigated for suspected sales, illegal fund-raising, and financial fraud.
中国人民大学国际货币所研究员陈佳向《华夏时报》记者表示，尽管其声称不是庞氏骗局，但从其机制设计来说，它的双币激励模型跟加密资产圈的各种方法没有什么区别。虽然是基于web3.0开发，但主要是把币圈的赚钱模型应用在健身这个具体的生态上，仍属于庞氏骗局。
Chen Jia, a researcher at the China People’s University’s International Monetary Institute, stated to the Washington Times that, although it claims that it is not a Ponzi scheme, its dual-currency incentive model is no different from the various methods used to encrypt the asset circle from its mechanism design. Although it is based on Web3.0, the money-making model, which is mainly applied to the specific ecological aspect of fitness, is still a Ponzi scheme.
欧科云链研究院高级研究员孙宇林则向《华夏时报》记者表示，STEPN宣布清退大陆用户，可能与加密货币的关系不大，主要原因是项目需要调用到敏感的GPS地理位置信息。而未经授权使用或者将相关信息送往境外，是违反相关法律法规的，此前热门游戏Pokemon go无法在中国大陆地区使用以及滴滴被查就是典型案例。
Sun Woolin, a senior researcher at the Oco-Yun chain Institute, told the Washington Times that STEPN’s announcement to clear the mainland’s users might not have much to do with encrypted currency, mainly because the project needed to call for sensitive GPS geographical information. The unauthorized use or sending of relevant information abroad was a violation of the relevant laws and regulations, following the fact that popular games Pokemon go could not be used in mainland China and that droplets were investigated as a typical case.
加密市场正值寒冬
加密货币市场正在经历寒冬。数据显示，除稳定币外，5月以来市值排名较前的货币跌幅多位于40%-60%区间。5月初，市值最大的加密货币比特币BTC跌至3万美元下方，最低触及25390美元的2020年12月以来低位，较2021年11月的最高点已跌去超60%；市值第二的以太币ETH则最低跌至1800美元下方，较2021年11月最高点下跌约57%。其他加密货币也均出现不同程度的下跌。根据Coin Market Cap统计，目前，加密货币整体市值接近1.29万亿美元，相较去年最高点跌去超54%。
In addition to stabilizing the currency, data show that the market value has fallen more than 40-60% since May than the previous currency. At the beginning of May, the largest encoded currency, Bitcoin BTC, fell below $30,000, reaching at least US$ 25390 since December 2020, down by more than 60% from its peak in November 2021; and the second-largest ETH fell below US$ 1,800, down about 57% from its peak in November 2021.
对此，北京计算机学会数字经济专委会秘书长王娟向《华夏时报》记者表示，近期市场低迷，原因是来自于外部的大环境，俄乌战争中加密货币信仰者对比特币等数字货币的过度期待并没有成为现实，电力和算力约束下的去中心化金融自由阶段性的陷入冷思考。同时，萨尔瓦多等国家级别的数字货币实际上成为这些动荡国家政府割韭菜的工具。在这些货币危机频发的国家，美元仍然比动荡的数字货币给予了更多的安全感。这无疑同时打击了寻求自由流动套利的大资本和寻求理想去中心化的小散户。
In response, the Secretary-General of the Beijing Computer Institute’s Commission on Digital Economy, Wang Xuan, told the Washington Times journalists that the recent market downturn was due to the prevailing external environment, that excessive expectations of digital currencies such as Bitcoin, an encoded currency believer in the Russian-Uranian war, had not become a reality, and that decentralized financial freedoms under electricity and arithmetic constraints had become insensitive. At the same time, digital currencies at the national level, such as El Salvador, had actually become a tool for these volatile governments.

Although the price of major encrypted currencies has recovered markedly in recent days, and the price of bitcoins has risen to around $32,000 on 1 June, the impact on the crypto-assembly by the collapse of the faith-stabilized currency, which was previously triggered by the UST “blown collapse,” has continued unabated. Today, the Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore has publicly stated that “the recent collapse of the encrypted currencies Terrausd and Luna triggered the domino effect of bitcoins and other encrypted currencies, with many investors losing their losses and even losing their life savings.
阿根廷中央银行（BCRA）也于近期宣布，禁止该国的银行为客户提供加密货币服务。西班牙银行行长兼巴塞尔银行监管委员会主席也表示，需要迅速监管加密货币空间和去中心化金融，以避免金融不稳定的风险。
The Central Bank of Argentina (BCRA) has also recently announced a ban on the use of encrypted currency services by banks in the country. The President of the Bank of Spain and Chairman of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision has also expressed the need for rapid regulation of encrypted currency spaces and decentralized finance in order to avoid the risk of financial instability.
对此，陈佳认为，即使在美国这种对币圈容忍度相对较高的监管机制下，加密货币依然不是合法的。美国监管部门是把民间所谓的“加密货币”作为加密资产大类进行监管的，而所谓的“加密货币”并没有系统性真实货币职能。
In response, Chen Jia argued that even under a relatively high degree of monetary tolerance in the US, crypto-currency is still not legal. US regulators regulate so-called “encrypted currency” as a class of encrypted assets, and so-called “encrypted currency” does not have a systematic real currency function.
据《华夏时报》记者初步统计，自2022年开年以来，美国国会已提出80多份与加密货币、数字资产相关的法案，涉及加密税收、央行数字货币、数字资产和数字资产证券透明度监管、以及美国官员对加密货币使用的访问和限制等诸多方面。
According to preliminary statistics from the Washington Times journalists, since the beginning of 2022, the United States Congress has introduced more than 80 bills related to encrypted currency, digital assets, covering such areas as encryption taxation, central bank digital currency, regulation of transparency of digital assets and digital asset securities, and access to and restrictions on the use of encrypted currency by United States officials.
在陈佳看来，加密货币真正的未来只有一个，就是主权加密货币，由主权央行来进行研发推广，并由商业银行进行落地衔接，同时对币圈加密资产实施严格监管，不允许其参与货币职能，防止其产生系统性金融风险。
In Chen Jia’s view, there is only one real future for encrypted currencies: sovereign encrypted currencies, with sovereign central banks conducting R & D promotion and linking commercial banks to the ground, while strictly regulating the encrypting assets of currency circles, denying them access to monetary functions and preventing systemic financial risks.
“目前加密市场参差不齐，很难完全剥离套利与创新，未来是否能在规范性基础上产生真正推动社会进步的产品和服务，还需要等待。”陈佳表示。
“The current market for encryption is uneven, it is difficult to completely strip away arbitrage and innovation, and there is a need to wait for future products and services that truly contribute to social progress on a normative basis.” Chen Qian Qian.
