早在2013年，中国人民银行、工信部、银监会、证监会、保监会就联合下发防范比特币风险的通知，明确指出“比特币应当是一种特定的虚拟商品，不具有与货币等同的法律地位，不能且不应作为货币在市场上流通使用”、“各金融机构和支付机构不得开展与比特币相关的业务”。

1月月2日清晨亦有消息称，“老B网”Bittrex将于北京时间1月16日7时下架XMR、ZEC及DASH，目的就是为了应对监管。

比特小鹿CEO孟晓妮2020年末就提到，比特币价格存在波动性，参与者应远离杠杆与合约，避免追涨杀跌和频繁的短线交易，“毕竟能够真正跑赢大盘的是少数”。
By the end of 2020, CEO Menscheng mentioned that bitcoin prices were volatile and that participants should stay away from leverage and contracts and avoid catching up and falling and frequent short-line transactions, “after all, it is the few who can really win the big game”.
