Dragonchain was originally developed in 2014 in Seattle, Disneyland, as a private block chain platform. More than 20 examples and applications were publicly explored and documented through the W3C block chain community group. The platform was later released as open source software in October 2016 in the form of Apache 2 licence, and Joe Roets left the company to build the Dragonchai platform based on the technology. Under Roets, Dragonchai worked with leading brands from around the world to solve complex problems using block chain technology.
